RON HALVERSEN: Hi, Ron from Clarity. This video will showcase a custom eCommerce site feature we built for a client that helps preventing losing customers when they can't find what they want in your marketplace or online store. This was a site we built for an entrepreneur that was so successful after its launch that, within a few months, it was acquired by a much larger company. The site was similar to autotrader.com, but for horse trailers targeted at the dealers and manufacturers so our client could sell sponsorships and ad space. As with Autotrader, individuals and private parties could also list their trailers. As one can imagine, there are many people out there that buy horse trailers, and just like us car fanatics, are always looking for a good deal. Well, that can prove difficult for someone looking for a unique trailer with a gooseneck pull complete with added living quarters and with enough space for eight horses at an affordable price, which means that it may have to be used. That kind of trailer probably isn't sold very often, and if custom-built, would cost a small fortune. So what happens when your potential buyer looks on your site and doesn't find that trailer? Well, most of the time, they leave and go searching elsewhere, never to return. However, one of the features we built into this site was the ability to scout or keep an eye out for any type of trailer anywhere in North America. And if it came up for sale the eCommerce website would proactively notify you. This feature was called the Trailer Scout. With our design, we mapped out a simple three-step process. One, tell us exactly what you're looking for. Two, we search for matches and keep looking until it becomes available. Three, we send you an alert once we find it. So let's set up our own search. First, we'll pick an older trailer from 2005 to 2015 since I know the trailer I need, if new, would be too expensive. Next, I'm willing to pay anywhere from 10 to $15,000. I put 10 since I don't want a fixer-upper. Next, I'll select a slant trailer since it fits more horses. I need it to include living quarters with a gooseneck pull, support for up to eight horses, and because of that, it will need a steel frame. Finally, since I've been unable to find it, I'm willing to travel up to 1,000 miles to pick it up. The auto-fill feature populated my name and email, and I click Submit. That's it. It notifies me that it'll let me know when a trailer matching my criteria becomes available. So, that's a quick demo of our Trailer Scout, just one of the many custom features we've added to our Clarity eCommerce platform for a client to help retain potential customers and keep them coming back to your site. Thanks for watching. What Feature Does Your "Dream Site" Need? If you could have a feature that would make your site better and increase sales, what would it be?
