Navigating the Difficulties of Selling Hazardous Products Austin, TX — June 4, 2019 — Clarity Ventures announced today a partnership with GFS Chemicals, a leading US supplier of chemicals for over 90 years. The project included extensive updates to the GFS website in order to deliver an enterprise-level eCommerce experience to its customers. “The new website, as well as back-end infrastructure, delivers a customized website experience for clients,” said Chris Reddick, President and CEO of Clarity Ventures. “This includes customer-specific pricing, dynamic inventory levels, and the ability to incorporate very detailed rules around flammable and potentially hazardous products that might have legal restrictions associated with them.” Much like medicine that requires a doctor’s prescription, companies have to have legal approval before purchasing certain chemicals. This process of incorporating a robust integration to the Dynamics AX ERP system—the back-office system that the GFS Chemicals team uses—allowed GFS to use the Dynamics AX platform as their source of truth and incorporate product updates from a single location, and then have those dynamically push out to their production site. Ron Halversen, Vice-President and CEO of Sales and Marketing at Clarity, revealed some of the other aspects of the upgrade entrusted to Clarity. “We’ve also conducted an ongoing enterprise SEO solution to help the GFS Chemicals site rank better and bring more traffic to the site, including extensive product descriptions and optimizations. Even within a short time this has made them more competitive with other chemical companies within the organic SEO space.” Clarity and GFS plan to continue working together to keep the eCommerce site at the forefront of design and performance.
